Legoshi meets Haru's family then gets recruited by Yahya to track down Melon （the half gazelle/half leopard）。 Stuff happens， involving a high class masked ball full of somewhat taboo relations， and Melon is caught。。。and released only to show up later when Louis makes a surprise visit to the Shishigumi。 And Melon is officially slotted into the 'I hate him' category。Also， we get a lot of backstory involving Legoshi's mom （and dad）。 A lot of ups and downs and I just want these kids to have a happy Legoshi meets Haru's family then gets recruited by Yahya to track down Melon （the half gazelle/half leopard）。 Stuff happens， involving a high class masked ball full of somewhat taboo relations， and Melon is caught。。。and released only to show up later when Louis makes a surprise visit to the Shishigumi。 And Melon is officially slotted into the 'I hate him' category。Also， we get a lot of backstory involving Legoshi's mom （and dad）。 A lot of ups and downs and I just want these kids to have a happy ending。This series has 22 volumes。 。。。more

introduces a new antagonist in which he is also a hybrid， his name is melon and is a leopard and a gazelle， he is a fake therapist for elephants in which he kills and harvests their tusks。 This is where the beastar needs a right hand man in which he needs to find more about legosi and see if he can help him。

One thing I love about this series is how each volume adds to some aspect of the world-building。 This series has a very complex world， that seems to get darker and more serious the farther you get into it。 It is a very different world than our own， but in many ways it's also similar。 There is a dark tone surrounding the adult world in this series， yet there is still hope and good people within it。 This volume introduces a new mixed-species character that explores identity with both an herbivore One thing I love about this series is how each volume adds to some aspect of the world-building。 This series has a very complex world， that seems to get darker and more serious the farther you get into it。 It is a very different world than our own， but in many ways it's also similar。 There is a dark tone surrounding the adult world in this series， yet there is still hope and good people within it。 This volume introduces a new mixed-species character that explores identity with both an herbivore and a carnivore parent。 He's an interesting contrast to Legoshi and I like the conversations about mixed-species animals that came from it。 It was also nice to catch up with Louis a bit and see how the Shishigumi has continued without him。 I do wish we were able to spend some more time with Haru， though。 As always， the art is gorgeous。 I'm excited to continue on with the series。 Thank you， NetGalley for a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review。4。5/5 。。。more

This copy was kindly provided to me by netgalley and the publisher for review。 All opinions are my own。 I loved this volume。 It was fun， action-packed， drama that is beastar and I really enjoyed every page。 Easy to follow story line， fun/different art。 The concept of herbivores and carnivores is really interesting。 This feels like a darker adult verison of zootopia。
